How do Dish Scrubbies not smell?

Our Scrubbie products are made from a polyester-blend fabric which do not retain water. Since they don’t stay moist, they don’t create the ideal environment (unlike a sponge!) for bacteria and mold to grow.  You won’t be able to sop up big wet messes with them (those are what our re-usable sponge clothes are for!), but the tradeoff is never having to deal with germs lurking in your kitchen sink.  Sanitary conditions are more important than ever, and we’re confident our products can help keep your family safe!

Are Scrubbies sanitary?

YES! Everything we sell is non-toxic, bacteria and mold resistant, and lastsly, BPA free if it contains plastic parts. You can wash everything we sell in the dishwasher on super high heat, and most of our products can also go in the laundry.  Mold and bacteria never have a chance to grow in the super quick drying Scrubbie environemnt, so you can rest assured you aren’t spreading germs all over your home’s surfaces!

How do I use Scrubbies?

Use Scrubbies anywhere you would use a sponge or dishrag. They are non-scratch and super soft, so you can even use them as a loofah in the shower! We recommend using them on Teflon, stainless steel, copper, ceramic and just good ol’ pots and pans, but we also love using them on kitchen and bathroom surfaces to clean quickly and precisely. They make a wonderful companion to baking soda or Bar Keeper’s Friend as a natural cleaning product, and just toss them in the dishwasher or laundry when you’re done to clean them!

I just microwave my sponge, isn't that enough to clean it?

In a word, no.  Bacteria and fungus start growing quickly in any warm, wet environment, and microwaving your sponges (unless they’re in there long enough to start smoking!) won’t be enough to fully rid them of germs.  Scrubbies get rid of the problem in the first place by never giving bad bacteria an environment to grow in. Plus, you’re spreading residual germs all over your surfaces every time you use a sponge, even when you’ve microwaved it. Who wants that??

I use Scrub Daddy, How are Scrubbies different?

We like Scrub Daddy products, especially the giant smiley faces on them; anything anyone does to make cleaning more fun is a friend in our book! The main difference between us and Scrub Daddy is Scrubbies last up to six months, and Scrub Daddies last about a month or two. We say, go ahead and use up whatever you’re currently using and then give us a try; if you don’t like it, we’ll refund it!

How do I get a refund if I don't like Scrubbies?
